WOMEN'S TECHNIQUE CAMP

Coach Leigh Jaynes is our Girls Camp Head Coach and Group Leader. Leigh is a 3-time world team member for the United States and a 2015 World Medalist. Leigh served in the military and is now head coach at Del Valley College in PA.

Coach Ashley Iliff attended my camps many times as a teen and became a 4x High School National Champion. She was a leader of her 3x National Championship Program at King University while becoming a 4x All-American. Ashley finished her competitive career as a final Olympic Trials qualifier and then shifted her focus to teaching and coaching.

Ashley is now a Girls Coach and school teacher in NJ, while also coaching her own IronHorse club. Ashley also was a starter on her high school boys team all 4 years. She is a pioneer and leader in our wrestling world!

Coach Jaynes and Coach Iliff are both outstanding role models for our female campers. They will help ensure that our campers are in an environment to learn and grow as a wrestler and as a young woman.

We have successfully conducted our Personalized Women’s Camp for over 25 years. We offer a great learning and training environment for women of all ages and skill levels! Helen Maroulis attended our camp multiple times and is the only U.S. Woman Wrestler to ever win Olympic Gold.

Girls of all ages and skill levels are welcome at ALL of our camp locations.  We have had Women Wrestlers at our camp ages 6 to 18 for over a decade. Girls are welcome during any weeks of our camps, and we offer both freestyle & folkstyle instruction.

Our camp is conducted in safe, well supervised facilities. Girls will get to learn from a variety of coaches and clinicians. Past Clinicians have included Olympian and past camper TOCCARA MONTGOMERY, Olympic Silver Medalist SARA MCMANN, World Team Member ERIN TOMEO, and Harvard graduate DANIELLE HOBEIKA. Female stars including NICOLE WOODY and HELEN MAROULIS are many time campers. We promise a great staff for 2021!

Curriculum: The younger less experienced girls will focus on technique and skill development. After covering the basics, the more experienced teenage girls will have the opportunity to learn more advanced skills while being challenged with lots of drilling and plenty of live wrestling opportunities. We will have a good blend of folkstyle and freestyle wrestling. In addition to on-the-mat training, we cover nutrition, strength training, and mental preparation. We also emphasize scholastic achievement and college preparation.
